Your ideas about built-in furniture relate to the idea of site specific design, where objects, or buildings, are designed with certain sites already in mind. I am wondering if you might look into unique ways for buildings to be site specific, such as built into the landscape just as you are looking at furniture being built into the building. I dont know if you have thought about or covered this idea already but it might be interesting to have an uber site specific building...furniture, building and site.
